At KubeCon + CloudNativeCon Europe 2025 in London, Peptone CTO Carlo Fisicaro and Fabio Airoldi presented to an audience of more than 8,000 attendees. Their talk examined Peptone’s ultra-scalable computing and data-processing architecture, powered by Kubernetes and Amazon Web Services.

The architecture is designed for the demanding workloads involved in protein structure prediction. It combines model parallelism and data parallelism to sample conformational spaces efficiently, while Kubernetes orchestrates workloads across GPU nodes.

The presentation showed how cloud-native technologies can support computationally intensive biotechnology research, connecting scalable infrastructure directly to the scientific challenge of understanding protein structure and dynamics.
