Peptone and Evotec form strategic partnership to target intrinsically disordered proteins

Peptone and Evotec have formed a strategic partnership to accelerate and scale the creation of small molecule therapeutics targeting intrinsically disordered proteins, or IDPs, across a range of therapeutic areas.

The collaboration combines Peptone’s physics-based hydrogen-deuterium exchange mass spectrometry approach for identifying novel IDP pockets with Evotec’s drug discovery capabilities. Those capabilities include assay expertise, medicinal chemistry, and advanced screening.

By integrating their complementary strengths, the companies aim to unlock therapeutic opportunities against proteins that have previously proved difficult to address and to advance viable drug candidates more quickly and efficiently.
