Peptone opens advanced experimental biophysics laboratory in Bellinzona
Peptone opened a Bellinzona laboratory dedicated to advanced experimental studies of intrinsically disordered proteins
BELLINZONA, SWITZERLAND. Peptone opened an advanced biophysics laboratory developed specifically for experimental studies of intrinsically disordered proteins, or IDPs.
Located in the heart of historic Bellinzona, the laboratory was designed to serve as an experimental innovation hub for Peptone’s growing research team.
“Our newly opened translational biophysics laboratory will vastly accelerate our mission to bring first-in-class protein-based therapeutics against intrinsically disordered protein targets,” said Peptone CEO Dr. Kamil Tamiola.
IDPs lack a single fixed structure but play important roles in health and disease. The Bellinzona laboratory strengthens Peptone’s ability to combine atomic-level experimental biophysics with supercomputing and machine learning in the search for new ways to address these historically difficult targets.
