Peptone recognized in Nature Biotechnology's academic spinouts survey

Nature Biotechnology selected Peptone for its annual survey of leading academic spinouts. The article, published in 2023 and covering the 2022 cohort, highlighted young companies translating academic science into new biotechnology.

Peptone was recognized for its work on intrinsically disordered proteins, or IDPs. Unlike proteins with a stable folded structure, IDPs exist as dynamic ensembles and have historically been difficult to investigate with conventional drug discovery methods.

The recognition reflects the work of Peptone’s team and the support of its investors, partners, and collaborators as the company advances new approaches to IDP-focused drug discovery.
