Dr. Kamil Tamiola, founder and CEO of Peptone, has joined the Scientific Advisory Board of ELIXIR CZ, the Czech National Infrastructure for Biological Data.
ELIXIR CZ organizes, stores, and shares life science data while supporting its interoperability for further processing and analysis. It is part of ELIXIR, the broader European initiative that coordinates life science resources across the continent.
Scientific and industry experience
Dr. Tamiola works at the intersection of structural biophysics, molecular dynamics, and data-driven methods for understanding protein behavior. At Peptone, he leads work that connects computational modelling with experimental workflows and translates scientific advances into drug discovery applications.
His experience across academic research and biotechnology will support ELIXIR CZ as it develops collaborations and resources for the European bioinformatics community.

ELIXIR CZ brings together 14 partner institutions coordinated by the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences. Its services include specialized databases, analytical tools, and computing infrastructure for national and international researchers.
The infrastructure focuses on chemical biology, genomics, computing and data management, 3D bioinformatics, and precision medicine. It also supports training and projects that help make data findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable under the FAIR principles.
