Peptone partners with NVIDIA and Verne Global
Peptone installed an NVIDIA DGX A100 at Verne Global's renewable-energy data center in Iceland and expanded its collaboration with NVIDIA
LONDON. Four months after raising seed funding from Hoxton Ventures and dRX Capital, Peptone installed an NVIDIA DGX A100 system at Verne Global’s high-performance computing data center in Keflavik, Iceland.
Peptone also announced a collaboration with NVIDIA to scale its AI-driven protein-engineering system in response to demand from the protein therapeutics market.
Scaling the Protein Engineering Operating System
Peptone’s team of physicists, structural biologists, computer engineers, and mathematicians spent three years developing the foundations of the Protein Engineering Operating System, or PeOS. Working with NVIDIA, the team designed PeOS to handle massively parallel molecular simulations orchestrated and supervised by reinforcement-learning algorithms.
The system searches automatically for non-obvious protein variants with desirable therapeutic properties and the potential for cost-effective manufacturing.

Renewable high-performance computing
Peptone selected Verne Global because its Icelandic campus runs on 100% geothermal and hydroelectric renewable energy. As part of the NVIDIA DGX-Ready Data Center program, the facility is designed to support dense, high-performance computing workloads.
